Robbie Elliot’s Demo Reel 2012

—-

My good friend, Robbie, of Illusive Media is moving to New York today.  He has helped put VA, especially the 757 area, on the media map.  He is known for his many projects with Illusive Media which are usually shown on MTV, Karmaloop, and tons of blogs worldwide.

Robbie, we’ll miss you and your quirky, sarcastic humor.  I, especially, will miss your random texts of ’80s & ’90s superstars (i.e. Jean Claude Van Damme), and also your mean remarks.  BUT… I know you’ll just continue to send me your mean remarks anyhow!

I’ll remember your comment of being a publicist and personal trainer!  I’ll hold you to it!

Best of everything in the big city.  We’ll miss you, Robbie Dobbie!

EXCLUSIVE: Karmaloop Interviews Lil Debbie

*Photo: Karmaloop.com

Carissa (@CARISSAROSSI) of Karmaloop interviewed former White Girl Mob (WGM) member, Lil Debbie, and is also the VERY FIRST person to really dig deep into the break-up of WGM (Kreayshawn & V-Nasty).

Very wonderful interview that EVERYONE should read, whether or not you like the girls from WGM.  People can really learn some things from this—maybe about themselves, their close circles, and maybe the industry.

Major props to charismatic Carissa for this!

WOW, six months later… never saw this tumblr post till just now! D: Though my dreams/life path have taken slight and not-so-slight changes since this interview was done (late May 2011), the general idea is still there: fashion, writing, New York City, big thangs. Anyway, it was definitely an honor to have been interviewed by the amazing Roxy Grey (not to mention while in the heart of the greatest city in the world). She has been my good friend for several years now and I’m so proud of her for what she’s doing for our area. Follow her here on Tumblr if you haven’t yet, and check out all her other stuff!

Watch my interview with Lucky Chic intern, Kashmeare Nicole aka Khloe.  From Virginia Beach to New York, she is a future fashion stylist and aspiring magazine editor.  She is very well-known in different cities in Virginia for her fashionably unique style, for her charismatic personality, and for her involvement in numerous organizations.  Having personally known her for about seven or eight years now, I can tell you that she has ALWAYS been true and carefree to her own style.  Undoubtedly, she has always been a trendsetter, especially in the 757.  Miss Kashmeare Nicole is definitely on her way to the top, and no one and nothing can stand in her way.  That is a fact.  (RG)

“A.R.R.A.” — T. Gaines ft. Jasmine
Prod. by The Innovatorz

A.R.R.A. stands for All Rappers Rap About.  This is a concept record with a perspective on just that, which leaves the listeners with some food for thought.

A.R.R.A” is the first record to be released off of T.Gaines’ debut EP Everything Again.  The entire project was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Owner and Executive Engineer Michael Kolar of Soundscape Studios, who has also overseen the entire project.

During my brief visit to Chicago for ATE TEAM, I had the honor of meeting some great people like T. Gaines (@TxGaines) and DJ (@DJTheInnovatorz) from production team The Innovatorz.  They also let me listen to this track in its finishing stages.

The Innovatorz have worked with Jim Jones, Gucci Mane, French Montana, Curren$y, and most recently produced the Closed Session record for Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire.

Props to my dudes all the way in Chi-town!

Olivia Munn for PETA

As I was trying to find Olivia Munn’s new PETA ads, I came across an article by Business Insider about how these photographs were “heavily photoshopped” implicating PETA’s slight hypocrisy to a cause.

“When you put them next to PETA’s ads, you have to wonder why they went to the effort of obtaining Munn’s support for the cause if they didn’t want to use her image as currently constituted. It’s not as if Munn lacks the physical attributes for the job — she’s probably the most photogenic woman in the U.S. (And how depressing is it that someone at PETA thought a naked Munn wasn’t cute enough to be published as is?)”
