I had the honor of interviewing the amazing and talented Sarah Rillon, professional makeup artist and food fanatic.
Check out the post below for photos and details of her seminar!
After over a decade of dedicating her career to beauty, professional makeup artist Sarah Rillon presented her first seminar for makeup artists and enthusiasts of all levels.
Entitling her seminar “TRANSFORMATIONS” was perfect especially since she is nationally known for the before-and-afters of her clients. She understands how even the smallest detail can affect one’s self-esteem. And with her down-to-earth, humble, and super bubbly personality, Sarah has a gift in making someone feel beautiful.
Not only does her clientele include tons of people at the MAC counter, but also publications and networks such as People, Hampton Roads Magazine, Vow, WHRO, TLC and numerous national commercial campaigns.
Needless to say, it was time for her very own beauty seminar, which was such a great turnout. We had the chance to view many different looks presented by models as well as witness a live “transformation” of one model. At the end, Sarah also quizzed her audience and awarded them with prizes.
What attendees each received from her class included different techniques of applying different looks for different occasions, a goody bag, tons of cookies and brownies (if you follow her on Instagram, you’d know that she is a food fanatic), prizes, and of course a chance to talk to her personally.
Overall, the attendees were ecstatic for this event. During the giveaway portion, people were eager to yell out answers for prizes. And what everyone of all makeup levels took from this event was something that they could improve on or were not really familiar with, like how to properly shade eyebrows or how to contour correctly.
Last but not least, Sarah also invited her best friend as a special guest hairstylist, Christina McCarver. Christina has been featured in New York Fashion Week, Allure, Elle, Nylon, and many more. She elaborated on how hair and makeup coincide, and also how important it is to have a finished look with the right balance.
“Not everyone gets the opportunity to make people really feel beautiful and feel great about themselves. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about how they feel on the inside.” —Sarah Rillon, Professional Makeup Artist

This is actually a photo I took during my little cousin’s soccer game.
Something so simple like God’s paintings serve as reminders of how beautiful Life is. Take a close look at this picture. What do you see beneath the surface?
Appreciate what you have and learn to find the beauty in the quietest of moments.
Having the opportunity to even look at this photo from your computer is a blessing that not many have.
Happy Monday.
God is Great.

Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honoring the Lord with your body. When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honoring the Lord with your body. You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind and strength.”
Let this devotion be an encouragement to you to stay on track with good habits. As you honor the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and embrace the good things He has in store for you!
